For this scene, the second in the illustrations sent to the Sundance Institute, Brian and I chose one from later part of the story. Here Rob (our schizophrenic protagonist), has just ended a battle with a pimp named Stick. The police back him up against a wall and all we're given is Rob's perception to the event. He's extremely delusional at this point and has blurred all lines between real and fantasy. The police step out of their vehicles not like officers, but like mangled creatures covered in leather trench coats. As they barked and growl at Rob, his only chance of salvation comes to late from his colleague, Sgt. Amy Alvarez. They taze Rob to the ground and he passes out.
